The Herring Group prides itself on being a thought leader in the landscape industry. We utilize social media, webinars, traditional media and in-person learning events to share our financial knowledge with the market. LinkedIn is one of our most effective sources for sharing our content. 

We also host a faith-based Facebook Group for entrepreneurs and businesspeople in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our CEO and Founder, Greg Herring, has a passion for helping people live well, and through trips to the Congo and monthly video calls, he is encouraging business growth through Christian values. 

We are currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator with LinkedIn experience to join our marketing team. This is a part-time position, requiring 10-20 hours per month.

What You Can Expect

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both business and Christian-based content and will report to our Director of Marketing, working closely with them to develop and implement a cohesive digital marketing strategy.

Responsible for managing our company’s LinkedIn presence to grow our following and engage with like-minded accounts

 

Manage our Congo Facebook Group, including creating content, scheduling posts and engaging with followers

 

Comfortable with both business and Christian-based content

 

 

Location flexibility to work from home (*anywhere in Texas*) 10-20 hours per month, with meetings during business hours

 

Measure and monitor the success of posts and campaigns

I was looking for a part-time professional position and was thrilled when I found The Herring Group. The fact the position is 100% remote was icing on the cake. We provide financial consulting services to growing Landscape companies. The work is part contractor (preparing reports and analysis), part consultant (providing finance and accounting expertise), and part coach (meeting with clients and their teams through virtual meetings). We have a collaborative team and professional and engaged clients. Life balance is a priority for our team and a goal we aim to achieve for our clients.

Requirements:

      • Must reside in Texas 
      • Previous experience in Social Media Management, with a focus on LinkedIn 
      • Willingness to learn new trends and make recommendations 
      • Solid knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools 
      • Excellent copywriting skills 
      • Graphic design in Canva or Adobe suite recommended 
      • Self-starter with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team 
      • Creative, adaptable and able to think outside of the box 
      • English-to-French translation skills are a bonus, but not required  
      • Video editing skills are a bonus, but not required
